Error: unable to initialise Cone Layout
Symptoms
Users of Cone Layout version 2.0 experienced problems if they were located in a timezone East of GMT (London). After installing Cone Layout and clicking the cone icon, the program failed to start and showed the following error message:
"Unable to initialise Cone Layout, aborting program."
Cause
This problem was related to the new 21-day evaluation period check. The program tries to verify the user is not turning back the clock to attempt to circumvent the protection scheme. Unfortunately the check failed to correct for the local timezone.
Solution / workaround
This problem is fixed in Cone Layout version 2.0.1. Please download this new version if you are experiencing the error above.
